I have had the honor of taking photographs for the Australian Embassy on two separate occasions, delivering high quality work under challenging conditions. ANZAC Day, a solemn tradition for Australians globally, typically involves a service held at dawn where we remember the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who have lost their lives at wars. Out of respect for the event, I decided not to use a flash despite the lack of pre-dawn light, in doing so I was also able to capture the somber tone and sincerity of the event. After my work on ANZAC Day, I was selected to photograph the Embassy’s 2024 Australia Day event, a bright an energetic celebration of Australia’s culture, history, and developing relationship with the nation of Morocco.
